Jeff Lortz
VP of Professional Services
Jeff leads BladeLogic's professional services organizations and is responsible for all aspects of the company's product implementations and end-user adoption. He brings a very strong track record in professional services management having previously led worldwide services organizations for two public software companies. As Vice President of Professional Services, Jeff led consulting efforts for Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC), a leading provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software solutions. At PTC, Mr. Lortz managed a $150 million business unit consisting of 600 people in 25 countries and helped develop PTC's product lifecycle management services. Jeff was also Vice President of Professional Services for Pegasystems, Inc., a leading provider of business process management (BPM) development tools, where he helped drive revenue growth by 30%.
Prior to Pegasystems, Jeff was Vice President of Professional Services for Bowstreet (now IBM), a developer of tools for rapid deployment of J2EE portals and web applications, where he helped grow service revenue by nearly 200%. Jeff began his career in the United States Navy, where he was responsible for all propulsion-related mechanical equipment for a 1000-man nuclear-powered warship. He received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire and an MBA from the University of Rhode Island.
