John McMahon

EVP & Chief Operating Officer

John is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations across BladeLogic's sales, professional services, product management, development and support organizations. Prior to becoming COO, John led BladeLogic's global sales and services organizations driving revenues from $18M to over $60M. He has a very strong track record in sales and sales management having led the worldwide sales organizations for four public software companies: PTC, GeoTel, Ariba and BladeLogic.

At Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC), a leading provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software solutions, John managed an organization of 2500 people, including 975 quota-carrying sales personnel and 350 sales managers, and grew revenues from $3M to $1.1B in 9 years. At GeoTel, John managed the worldwide sales force prior to the company's acquisition by Cisco for $2B. At Ariba, John had complete responsibility for the worldwide sales organization where he merged the sales forces of Tradex and Trading Dynamics and took Ariba to its leadership role in the B2B Marketspace sector. Most recently, John was CEO at IE-Engine (currently High Roads Technology), an HR Cost Management software company, where he grew annual subscription revenues from zero to $8.5M in three years. John received a BS in Electrical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
