Jon Stevenson

SVP of Research & Development

Jon is responsible for leading BladeLogic’s world-wide product organization including all aspects of Development, QA, Sustaining, Product Management and Support. He brings over 16 years of experience leading large R&D organizations with both Engineering and Product Management responsibility. Prior to joining BladeLogic, Jon was the vice president of Engineering at AppIQ, the leader in storage management, where he led the development of the industry-leading heterogeneous storage management product, StorageEssentials. Following the acquisition of AppIQ by HP, Jon led HP’s Storage Resource Management lab where he was responsible for developing an award-winning storage management software suite.

Prior to AppIQ/HP, Jon was the executive vice president and general manager of the Mechanical Computer-Aided Design (MCAD) group at Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC), a leading provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software. At PTC, he led a team of 2,000 and a business of $770 million/year, and was responsible for multiple aspects of the MCAD business, including product marketing, customer support, professional services, indirect distribution and software development. Prior to PTC, Jon was the managing director of Shape Data in Cambridge, UK, where he was responsible for the development and marketing of Parasolid, the industry-leading MCAD solid modeling kernel. Before PTC, Jon spent 13 years in the UG Solutions business unit of EDS and McDonnell Douglas. He holds a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Delaware and an MS degree in mechanical engineering from California State University, Long Beach.
