Vick Viren Vaishnavi

VP of Marketing

Vick is responsible for driving BladeLogic's marketing strategy, product positioning and marketing, analyst relations and media communications activities. He has over 18 years experience in the enterprise software market having held executive and leadership roles in marketing, product management, engineering and sales operations. Before BladeLogic, Vick was a Principal at Rishisoft, a consulting firm that advised F500 executives on IT operations process & cost control strategies. His clients included Global IT groups at VISA, Fidelity, TJX and others. Previously, he was a founding member of Opticom, a Business Service Management software company, where he served as Director of Product Marketing & Corporate Development. Under his leadership, Opticom grew over 300% CAGR and was ranked in the Ernst & Young Fast50 list consecutively for 3 years.

Prior to Opticom, Vick drove Product Management and Strategy at APRISMA Management Technologies (later acquired by Computer Associates), a subsidiary of Cabletron Systems, a $1.5B global data-networking leader. During his tenure, Aprisma grew from inception to over $100M in revenues in 5 years and its SPECTRUM product line was awarded over 50 patents and won major industry awards. Vick has been awarded 6 U.S and international patents for his work in IT management software systems. Vick holds a BSEE from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, an MSCE from University of Massachusetts and an MBA in Marketing from Boston University School of Management.
