BLADELOGIC SELECTED BY EXPEDIA FOR ENTERPRISE-WIDE SERVER AND APPLICATION MANAGEMENT

Lexington, MA, August 15, 2006—BladeLogic, Inc., the leading provider of data center automation software, today announced that Expedia, Inc. (NASDAQ: EXPE) has selected BladeLogic as its strategic automation platform to manage its server and application infrastructure.
BladeLogic offers a suite of data center automation solutions that enables IT organizations to more efficiently manage, control, and enforce changes to servers and applications in order to realize maximum business value from the data center. Expedia selected BladeLogic in order to improve existing application release and operation control processes for its enterprise server and application infrastructure. Using BladeLogic’s sophisticated application deployment and auditing capabilities, Expedia can now conduct automatic compliance audits after complex deployments to ensure the integrity of a specific application version.
