BLADELOGIC SELECTED BY BETFAIR FOR AUTOMATED SERVER MANAGEMENT
World’s Leading Online Betting Exchange Automates Data Center Processes Using BladeLogic Operations Manager
Lexington, MA, September 5, 2006—BladeLogic, Inc., the leading provider of data center automation software, today announced that Betfair, the world’s leading online betting exchange, has selected BladeLogic’s award-winning software to automate its server management initiatives.
Betfair will initially use BladeLogic to automate the complex processes for building environments on its development and quality assurance servers, and the deployment of code across multiple platforms. In the past, both of these processes were done manually and required extensive staffing. Using BladeLogic’s automation capabilities, Betfair is now able to drastically reduce the amount of time allocated to servicing requests by the company’s release team, enabling that team to work on other strategic IT initiatives. Moving forward, Betfair will expand its use of BladeLogic to include server auditing and compliance, change and configuration control, and security and patch management.
