BLADELOGIC FOR DATA CENTER COMPLIANCE ASSURANCE
Leading Government Defense Contractor to use BladeLogic to Audit
Configuration Settings for Servers and Applications to ensure
Continuous Compliance
Lexington, MA, February 20, 2007—BladeLogic,
Inc., a leading provider of next-generation data center automation
software, today announced that General Dynamics, a leading supplier
of sophisticated defense systems to the United States and its
allies, has selected portions of BladeLogic’s award-winning
suite of data center automation solutions to ensure continuous
compliance to regulatory and operational polices across all of
its data center environments.
General Dynamics will implement BladeLogic’s Discovery
and Compliance modules across all of its business units to ensure
they fully comply with established corporate security policies
based on standards from the Center for Internet Security (CIS)
and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST),
and regulatory policies such as Sarbanes-Oxley, the Health Insurance
Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Federal Information
Security Management Act (FISMA). Using BladeLogic, General Dynamics
will be able to automate the definition and documentation of policies
that establish recommended configurations for servers and applications,
and schedule regular scans of its server and application environments
to track compliance with those policies.
