Waltham, MA, February 21, 2006—BladeLogic, Inc., the leading provider of data center automation software, today announced that Lockheed Martin Enterprise Information Services (EIS), a division of Lockheed Martin, one of the world's leading technology systems integrators, has selected BladeLogic as an enterprise server management framework for configuration management and compliance assurance.
Lockheed Martin is initially implementing BladeLogic in four of its data centers. Lockheed Martin plans to expand its use of BladeLogic to other divisions of the company throughout 2006 and 2007 to automate the management and compliance of its enterprise server environments. This will result in reduced data center operating costs, improved responsiveness, and increased efficiencies.
“Lockheed Martin needs to be able to manage a constantly changing and growing server environment. In addition, it is critical that we comply with both internal security policies and external regulatory policies,” said Kim Sawyer, Senior Vice President, Lockheed Martin Computing & Network Services.
“BladeLogic is very proud to sign Lockheed Martin, one
of the largest federal government contractors, as a new customer.
This agreement is a result of BladeLogic’s aggressive
investment in the federal sector over the last three years,”
said Dev Ittycheria, President and CEO, BladeLogic. “As
one of the most innovative companies serving the federal market,
Lockheed Martin is once again ahead of its competition by implementing
next generation data center automation software to automate
its server environments.”
