BLADELOGIC ANNOUNCES NEW
DATA CENTER ALLIANCE PROGRAM
Program Enables ISVs to Leverage BladeLogic’s Open
Architecture to Allow Customers to Unify Best-of-Breed Management
Tools in the Data Center
Gartner Infrastructure, Operations & Management Summit,
Orlando, FL, June 11, 2007—BladeLogic, Inc., a
leading provider of data center automation software, today announced
the BladeLogic Data Center Alliance (DCA) program to allow Independent
Software Providers (ISVs) an easy, yet powerful way to integrate
their solutions with BladeLogic’s software to deliver more
value to customers. This comprehensive program provides ISVs with
access to BladeLogic’s software solutions, world-class sales
and marketing organization, and extensive customer base.
The Data Center Alliance program was initiated in response to
the growing interest from ISVs and customers to integrate other
solutions with BladeLogic's suite of data center automation software.
BladeLogic’s software solutions automate a wide range of
critical data center processes in the areas of configuration management
and compliance assurance of physical and virtual servers and applications.
This new program is designed to enable BladeLogic customers to
integrate BladeLogic’s solutions with other existing data
center solutions to reap the full benefits of best-of-breed management
tools. The DCA program includes current BladeLogic partners such
as AlterPoint, Cassatt, EMC, Onaro, PatchLink, RealOps and Voyence.
“In order to increase operational efficiencies, it is critical
that IT organizations implement a solution that can manage, administer,
monitor and report on the automation of their IT operations processes,”
said David Williams, Research Vice President, Gartner. “Since
it is difficult for any one vendor to credibly offer a solution
that fully supports IT operations process in all areas of the
IT ecosystem and because there are no industry standards to aid
in the integration of different tools, partnership programs that
promote and drive product interoperability are important because
they offer IT organizations the ability to implement and integrate
data center automation products of their choosing in support of
their own unique IT operations process needs.”
With the ever-increasing cost and complexity of today's IT infrastructure,
enterprises are turning to BladeLogic’s software solutions
to reduce operational costs, consistently enforce regulatory,
operational and security compliance, increase the success rate
of application deployments, and be better aligned and more responsive
to the business. The BladeLogic Data Center Alliance program provides
partners an effective way to expand on these customer needs while
giving customers the freedom to choose the best solutions with
minimal integration risk. To facilitate integration with BladeLogic’s
solutions, the program includes access to BladeLogic’s evaluation
software, application program interfaces (APIs) and technical
support, as well as sales and marketing support to promote joint
solutions.
“Customers recognize that they must introduce more automation
to bring data center costs and complexity under control, and they
want the flexibility to match the right solution for the particular
problem at hand,” said John Scott, vice president of marketing
& product development, RealOps, a proven leader and pioneer
in run book and IT process automation solutions. “RealOps
is very pleased to be a partner in the BladeLogic Data Center
Alliance program. Partnering with leading data center solution
providers such as BladeLogic helps to extend our market opportunity
and provide mutual customers with an integrated and comprehensive
automation solution.”
“Our partnership with BladeLogic is very important to our
business in that it offers customers an integrated, best-of-breed
management solution for server, application and storage infrastructure,”
said Bryan Semple, vice president of marketing, Onaro, a leader
in storage service management. “The BladeLogic Data Center
Alliance program not only enables the integration of Onaro's storage
service management solution and BladeLogic's data center automation
solutions, but also allows us to collaborate with BladeLogic's
world-class sales, marketing and engineering teams.”
“With the introduction of the BladeLogic Data Center Alliance
program, BladeLogic allows customers the flexibility to choose
best-of-breed solutions by providing integration between its award-winning
Data Center Automation software and numerous market-leading technologies,”
said Dev Ittycheria, president & CEO, BladeLogic. “As
a result, customers can focus on delivering the highest quality
IT services with the best available solutions in the marketplace
without the headaches and costs of being in the integration business.”
