Dev Ittycheria Receives Award for his Contributions to New England's Technology Community

Waltham, MA, October 12, 2005—BladeLogic, the leading provider of data center automation software, today announced that BladeLogic CEO Dev Ittycheria was honored by the Mass Technology Leadership Council for his contributions to the development and deployment of technologies that address critical business issues.

The 2005 Mass Technology Leadership Awards continue an eight-year tradition, begun by the New England Business and Technology Association (NEBATA), of honoring the region's technology and business leaders. The Mass Technology Leadership Council was formed by the combination of NEBATA and the Mass Software Council earlier this year. The awards were announced last week at a ceremony in Boston.

"Dev Ittycheria and the other Mass Technology Leadership Council Award honorees have established themselves as forces for change in the way business is conducted," said Mass Technology Leadership Council Vice President Tom Hopcroft. "The Mass Technology Leadership Council is proud to honor Dev for his contributions of winning ideas and best practices to the technology industry and our business community."

"The Mass Technology Leadership Awards have a long tradition of recognizing the region's most influential and successful technology companies, and I am honored that BladeLogic is considered to be a member of that select group," said Dev Ittycheria, President and CEO, BladeLogic. "The success of BladeLogic, both in terms of technology innovation and business execution, is a testament to the hard work of all of our employees. With the industry's most advanced technology solutions, the largest installed customer base in the market, and an organization filled with dedicated and talented employees, BladeLogic is poised for even greater success."

Co-founded by Ittycheria in 2001, BladeLogic is a provider of award-winning data center automation software solutions that enable organizations to more efficiently provision, configure, and manage their data center infrastructure. Under his leadership, BladeLogic has acquired more customers, delivered better operating performance in terms of revenue and profitability, and grown its business faster than any of its competitors. As a result, BladeLogic is the recognized leader in the data center automation market and is one of the most promising software companies in the industry today.

The 2005 Mass Technology Leadership Awards program began in the first quarter with an open nomination process. Thirty finalists were announced in May and final selections were based on nominee achievements, experiences and insights that were provided by the nominees through subsequent panels and interactions. Selections were made by a voting process among the Council's selection committee and key advisors.

The Association will begin accepting nominations for the 2006 Mass Technology Leadership Council Awards in January 2006. Finalists will be named in June and winners announced in October 2006. For more information, visit www.masstechleaders.org.
